(Review is from May)
I Saw some movies last couple of weeks and they are Iron Man 2 and Robin Hood. One was the worst movie of the year so far and the other was one of the best of the year so far.
Iron Man 2 is about Tony Stark (the worst actor possible besides Nicholas Cage, Robert Downey Jr.) has gone world wide about his identity of Iron Man. He finds a new rival at a race named Whiplash (Mickey Rourke) that wants to kill him. A man from a secret organization (Samuel J. Jackson) helps protect him by sending a new secretary that is a spy for the company (Scarlett Johanson) and helps him regain life back since that glowy circle in his stomach is infecting him. This movie was so BORING! I really wanted to fall asleep because nothing thrilled me in this movie. The only part that was good was anything Whiplash was trying to kill Iron Man. This series needs to end because Robert Downey Jr. is defenitly not a super hero. This movie gets 1 star.
Robin Hood is about the famous outlaw that steals from the rich and gives to the poor. If you want that story, you'll have to wait for the sequal because it is about the Robin Hood before the famous story. He really is a nobody that is leaving the war after the King was killed in battle and finds french men that are trying to steal the crown from the messangers. They kill some of the men and find an abushed soldier named Sir Robin of Oxley that gives him the name, his life, and the crown to take back. He becomes the husband of Lady Marion(Cate Blancett). They are living through the times of newly crowned King John that taxes everyone to depression. With the French on there way, Robin must join forces with the King and fight against the french. After the battle, King John betrays Robin and calls him an outlaw and thus starts the famous story that will hopefully come in a sequal. I loved this movie so much. The coustumes, the setting, and the actors all. I thought the movie could have been shorter but it still kept my attention. I give it 4 1/2 stars.
My DVD reviews is on the first Iron Man and it was about a millonare that creates a war machine that could win the war. He is captured by arabs and they put a life orb into his stomach for no reason what so ever and he escapes in his war machine soon to be his Iron Man outfit. He goes back to his company and one man (Jeff Bridges) is out to kill him. This movie was a little better than the first because it wasn't somthing blowing up every 5 seconds. 3 stars.
My other DVD Review is "Robin Hood: Men in Tights". It is a spoff of all the Robin Hood movies before 1993. It is about Robin Hood returning to his home finding that is was evicted and the only thing left was his blind servent, Blinkin. He also meets on the way a son of a prison mate with Robin named Achoo, a bridge toll collecter Little John, and Little John's friend Will O'hera. They must face off the Sheriff of Nottingham thats deslexic and King John who is keeping Madian Marion untill he can find the key to her chasity belt. This is my favorie Mel Brooks movie and I laugh every time I watch it. I wish Mel Brooks still made spoffs today. 4 1/2 stars.
That's it. Remember, If Robert Dowery Jr. is in a movie, it will 100 % fail misrably!
