  Christmas 3 to See 04/25/2024 1:00am (UTC)

Every year I pick 3 christmas released movies to go and see. Last year it was Valkyrie (5 stars), Marley & Me (4 1/2 stars), and The Spirit (2 stars). This year it is Nine, The Imaginatium of Doctor Parnassuss, and Alvin and the Chipmunks 2. Nine is about Italian film director Guido Contini facing a midlife crisis that is stifling his creativity and leading him into a variety of complicated romantic involvements. As he struggles to even start his latest film, Italia, he's forced to balance the numerous formative women in his life, including his wife, Luisa; his mistress, Carla Albanese; his film star muse, Claudia; his confidante and costume designer; an American fashion journalist, Stephanie; a prostitute from his youth, Saraghina; and his mother. This movie was WAY better than this years first musical, Fame, but the story line was slow at many times. The Music and dancing was great and all the actors did great! 4 stars and See it in Theaters! Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 is about when Dave is hopitalized, the chipmunks are sent to school and watched by dave's brother, Toby. Alvin becomes a part of the cool kids when he joins the football team while Simon and Theadore watch Meerkat Manor. Everything is going well untill the chipettes show up arangied by Ian Hawke, their former agent. This was not one of those stupid sequals, it had a pretty good story to it but it finished in like an hour. 4 stars and See it in Theaters. Imaginarium of Doctor Parnaussusss is about a traveling theater group led by the imortal Dr. Parnaussusss (Christorpher Plummer) that brings people's most great imaginations to life! But a thousand years ago, he made a deal with the devil that all of his children would belong to the devil at the age 16. He must find 5 souls in 2 days to save his daughter with the help of Tony(Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell) that manuvers great skills to bring people in. This movie was diffrent. The story was weird but the graphics for the Imaginations were great. It is Heath Ledger's last movie and he died in the middle of shooting so thats why Tony is played by 4 people. I give it 4 1/2 stars and a see it.
