Hello again. Today's movie reviews are on "Eclipse" "The Runaways" "Remember Me" "Valentine's Day". How do they all come together? Between the release of New Moon and Eclipse, the stars of the movies (Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Dakota Fanning) had a movie each come out. But first, I went to see Eclipse because my mom loved the books so I come with her to see what the craze is all about.
"Eclipse" is the third installment in the Twilight Saga and it is the movie where the fans find out who Bella will chose, a were-wolf boy that will never wear a shirt except the first 5 minutes of the movie or a pale vampire that never washes his hair and belives girls come to see the movie because of his abs. As the battle for who has the better body goes on, a vampire named Victoria is out to build an army of new vampires to get revenge on Bella and Edward for killing her homicidle nutjob of a boyfriend. The Vampires and wolfs have to set aside thier diffrences and fight this army. I will say this movie was good but I still liked the first one better because of 2 reasons: 1. Jacob wears a shirt the intire movie 2. The story and action was better. I did like the back stories of the 2 cullen vampires but I wish we had the backstory of all of them. And cheers to Robert Pattinson asking the question every boy wants to know "Does he own a shirt?" But Jeers to Taylor Lautner saying "I'm hotter than you" and making my own mother say "Oh yeah" in the middle of the movie. He is like 17 or 18 and your in your 40's, it's never going to happen. Still I give it 4 stars and See it.
"The Runaways" stars Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning as the famous Joan Jett and Cherrie Currie. It is about the formation of the legandary band The Runaways and the up's and down's of show biz. It's was very graphic at times and deserves it's R rating but it was a good movie. I think Kristen but espically Dakota could pick up a nomination for best actress at the oscars. I give it 4 stars and a Rent it.
"Remeber Me" stars Robert Pattinson and supprisingly when I saw this movie in theaters, I was not the only boy but they were probably dragged in by thier girlfriends. I went with iffy expectations and I proven wrong. It is about a collage student that gets in a little bit of trouble by the cops and is let out by his father that he hates with all his heart. He meets a girl that happens to be the daughter of the cop that arrested him and his friend dares him to go over and ask her to go on a date. Well they become very close but when a school play comes up with Robert's sister, his father misses it and he barges into a meeting and stands him off with the best acting he has done in his carrer. I was bored in this movie for a while but I can say if thier was a prize of most powerful ending, this movie would win because you don't know the date this movie takes place intill someone writes it on a chalkboard and then your heart drops with supprise. This is the best I have seen of Robert since Harry Potter 4. I give it 4 stars and Buy it.
"Valentine's Day" stars an ensamble cast that features Taylor Lautner in it as Taylor Swift's character's boyfriend and they are the school "cuteist couple". The movie focusis on about 6 or 7 stories that all have to do with Valentine's day. Thier is a newly engaged flower shop worker, a sports reporter that switches gears as holiday coorespondent, a newly met friendship on a 14 hour plane ride, a football player that annouces his retirment and his new life style of coming out of the closet, a teenager that debates about sex, a couple that finds out that one of them is something very erotic, and a girl that belives that loves is stupid, and many more stories. They all somehow connect buy the end of the movie with new relationships, a child reunites with his mother after war, and more. I liked it but I didn't love it. It wasn't as comical as it should of been and the stories got a little tangled. Still I will give it 4 stars and Buy it.
Sicne we are on the topic of vampires, were wolfs, crazy relationships, and Twilight, thier is a movie coming out on wednsday that spoffs all of it called "Vampire's Suck". It is a spoff of movies this year and last like Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Alice in wonderland, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and many others. The trailor cracks me up every time I see it because Ken Jeong played one of the vampires and he even did hid character of the Teen Choice Awards and he is just hilarious. I am going to see it because I love spoff movies. Mel Brooks or the guys that do these movies I just love them even if they're the dumbest things ever.
Well that's it for now. I'm trying to catch up on my reviews so I will have Inception, Salt, The Other Guys, Charlie St. Cloud, and Scott Pilgrum V.S. the world reviews out sooner or later.
